Question First Wii Portable: What Battery should I use?

I'm not too sure about the first link, but I can for sure tell you that ebay link is a scam, that battery will have much smaller than advertised capacity. What screen do you have that is powering itself? You may be able to expand that battery and use it for the wii as well

    Finally got a 3D Printer...

    1. I've dabbled in ABS, it is not easy to get right... It's not much different from PLA besides it's higher melting temperature, so it's not really worth it to try and print in it... 2. Aurelio got this one good 3. I personally use Cura, and it works decently well, the default profiles for...

    BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

There isn't really much left up to interpretation, as every point people ask about (where to wire video, where to wire controllers, etc) are all labeled in the guide. We tried to make it as thorough as possible, and for the most part, you don't have to rewire much of anything that was...

Discussion Small finding about the dvd drive

That's not really how it works, the wii doesn't just arbitrarily check if the disc drive is plugged in or not... Since the disc drive is an essential part of the system, the people who wrote usb loaders assumed there would always be at least a working disc drive board inside the wii, so any...

    Question Power Mii Lite

If you don't already have a charging solution it may be more useful to grab a power management system, which is already available in the store, as it has regs included on the board and power button to turn on and off

Question GC+ Need help getting boards to work

Sounds dumb, but have you tried redoing the programming? If there is contiunity then it's unlikely that the cable is the issue, the gc data line is pretty resistant to interference

Question How to wire for a N64 Portable

Please don't use 32awg for power wiring, that's only rated for around 0.5a which would be around 2w at standard battery voltage. Any more and it's gonna melt You might need to read some guides too, especially before you go making suggestions to people

    Solved Trimmed Wii Black Screen

Just a quick FYI, the wifi data lines are extremely sensitive to length differences, so if you attempt a wifi relocation in the future make sure to cut all the wires to the exact same length before wiring to the module. It would also be a good idea to download PM with nowifi, install the nowifi...

Question about switching regulators for portables

You shouldn't have to worry much about noise, both the display and pi have regulators onboard that drop the voltage lower, a bypass cap should be enough.

Question about switching regulators for portables

Yes, but... You'll want to double check the output voltage, and make sure you aren't overloading your UBEC. As long as it's putting out ~5v and it can provide enough amps, you *should* be good...

Make sure to test your wiring before trimming, but besides that, covering the chips with some painters tape and trimming should be fine

    BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

It would probably be best to buy another Wii to use then, as you'll end up spending more money in the long run if you use a gamecube instead of a wii. You'll also most likely be doing lots of waiting for more money or parts if you don't have a steady income of some kind

    Worklog PIS2, a long overdue ps2 portable

Long wires are nice antennas, that's probably running at 10 speeds instead of 10/100... You should shorten the wires, bring the pairs close together, and solder the caps directly to the PS2. The image I posted was a snipit from some big doc about ethernet, another big point they made was about...
