The white samsung was our go-to until it was discontinued. We had iffy compatibility with the newer black samsung. For the lowest profile one, we recommend using the kingston micro SD adapter. You can throw a massive micro sd card in it.

Can also confirm this doesn't work. It may be possible with some very advanced software voodoo, but not as of right now.

You likely aren't going to find one, especially at a local place. You need a clean, stable, high current regulator. There really aren't any known stock alternatives, hence why the PTH08080's have stuck around for so long. This is why the community has developed custom solutions like the RVL-PMS...

Any noise that's picked up by the audio lines between Wii and the audio amp will also be amplified. I would advise shielding these wires. It will help reduce airborne interference. What regulators are you using? Noisy regs could also be the culprit.
