Worklog Gamecube Portable: Let the Games Begin

Wow, that frankencasing is looking pretty good. Too bad you fucked the polarity.. Oh well, I've made the mistake before, but that was with a wii. I suggest cleaning your entire board in IPA, and visually inspecting other then the edges. Maybe you can fix it. Then again, it's a gamecube, so it...

They should be fine. Yeah its normal if the multimeter beeps on some lines, even though they are not actually shorted. Some multimeters already beep at like 50 Ω..

Worklog (finished) Swiitch 2.0 - BocuD's second Wii Portable

I totally didn't do that on purpose lmao Thx! I spent a lot of time sanding everything to get rid of the '3d printed' look. I added them initially, but I ended up using different screws so I removed them in the final design. My plan was to stick some rubber feet on top but I couldn't find them...

Worklog (finished) Swiitch 2.0 - BocuD's second Wii Portable

Its finished! After hours of 3D modelling, sanding and wiring the Swiitch 2.0 is finally completed. Here are some more pics of the portable: As you can probably see I added a logo that resembles the switch on the back. This was done by spray painting through a lasercut piece of acrylic. The...

Question My Wii composite signal has red and green mixed

If its fine on your tv i’m 90% sure the problem is your lcd and ntsc/pal60 support. Try setting your wii settings to 50hz, or region mod your wii for 480i. Your lcd might not support pal60.

Worklog (finished) Swiitch 2.0 - BocuD's second Wii Portable

I finally finished the cad for the case. It took way more time then I expected, but it is now printing as I'm typing this. The thing is: I have no idea how I should paint it. My original plan was to just go with white or black, but I think it could be a bit bland that way. Does anyone have some...

Question My Wii composite signal has red and green mixed

I had this issue before. Is your wii PAL or NTSC? And what country is your monitor made in? In my case switching to a monitor that supports both pal and ntsc fixed it, so that may help you.

Release Wii native VGA - version 1.5

You may be able to use the connector and shell of a Wii2HDMI. They usually have all the pins on there.

    Wii Micro

Try looking at the compendium as well. It is a full scan of the wii motherboard that has most relevant traces color coded / labeled. The desoldering iron might actually be enough to get the ports out btw. It is much better then those solder suckers (ew) and might actually work the first time.

    Wii Micro

I meant it more like this: Then wire them together. You would have to avoid cutting ANY further then where the ports would be soldered in however, as you could possibly fuck it up if you do. Still way easier then the other methods though.

    Wii Micro

Do you want/need to put the Wii back into its original shell? If not it will definitely be easier (and will probably end up better) If you just cut the board around the ports and use it that way. It really is so much easier that way. And if you're not putting it back in the original case, might...
