Worklog Shank's "First" Wii Portable Worklog: PiiWii Pocket

When I do this I cut the piece out of the controller that's shaped like a ring with grooves that keeps the buttons from spinning and sand the top down so it's literally just that ring, and glue that under the hole. It works pretty well.

    Worklog RIIIIIP

Can't tell you the best way, but my method involved cutting off the part of board that it was on to a really small piece, and then sanding from the bottom with a dremel until it was so thin that I could break the chip off. Sketchy, I know, but it worked like a charm. I don't have a heat gun...

    Discussion Trimming Further

I would assume that some will have vias to the backside but not all (but I really don't know, haven't looked into it). Either way it's going to be a tedius, easy-to-mess-up relocation, and will only save 2mm-4mm more than what the bend can accomplish.

Question Help Me build a n64p

Easily. Props to hailrazer for popularizing that weird thing. If you google "lazer doodle n64" and scroll down through the images, you will get to the pictures of the internals of his project, and see that he fit the mobo in without even having to rotate it 90 degrees.

Worklog Shank's "First" Wii Portable Worklog: PiiWii Pocket

Looks great, Shank. I really like those 3ds slider covers or whatever those are, how they match the look of a gc controller. I was going to do something similar, but now if I do it's going to look like I copied you... and I'm okay with that.

Solved What is the best way to charge battery's?

You don't have to remove the batteries to wire them, you wire a charging jack to your pcb, and connect it to the outside of the case. Here's a diagram that shows you basically what you need to do: http://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/charge-and-play.334/ When it's on, your batteries are...

Anybody see the NX leak yet?

Right that's probably true, just sad that wii u / wii games won't be playable. I do like a lot of the first party wii u games. If they port Mario Maker, I guess I'll live...

Question Help Me build a n64p

That thing has a pcb inside it, you don't need an extra one. It has two ports, charging port, and voltage out. I can't recommend that thing to anyone in good conscience. It's really big, and you could easily get cheaper batteries that are the same capacity and half the size.

Question Help Me build a n64p

A guide is coming for n64 portablizing, but in the meantime, googling something like "n64 controller pinout" should give you what you're looking for. And are you changing batteries or what? If you are, I'd just go with 2 lipo cells and a 7.4v protection circuit (each cell is 3.7v). That's the...

Question Help Me build a n64p

It's a protection circuit for individual cells, but you have a battery pack with cells and protection circuit built in, so you shouldn't have to worry about that.

Question Help Me build a n64p

This thread shows where to connect voltage: http://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/how-to-get-3-3v-for-your-n64p.53/ I've never used those batteries so someone else can confirm, but they should work with this charge port / charge-and-play diagram (your battery won't look the same but the...

Question Help Me build a n64p

Try asking specific questions, instead of just, "will anyone help me". I mean... yeah, I could give you guidance with your project, but what kind of answer are you expecting from that^^ Also, punctuate your sentences so they're easier to read.

    The Wiiboy rev2

I'm agreeing with you. And I'm saying, even if they were thicker, it's just one wire, so it could have easily been included. I guess he really must have no interference whatsoever.

    The Wiiboy rev2

Yeah. And regardless of how thick they are, it's just one wire. Hmm.

Shielded wires = thicker. Compared to nonshielded wires. That's my interpretation.

    The Wiiboy rev2

So what I'm getting from this is you can do away with the 5v reg if you are okay with the usb to sd card reader that can run on 3.3v, and you plug your fan into 7.4?
