For anyone curious, I've found that third party joystick caps work even better on the switch. The left one isn't any different and still fits perfectly, but it's much easier to remove from the cap. The c stick though is completely different and works much better. You can just pull the silicon...

Just finished these puppies up this morning :D The face buttons are laser etched and resin cast, not painted, and the joystick caps are from a Gamecube controller. Here's my video on them. If you want to do your own joysticks, here's how I did mine. The silicon on the left joystick fits...

Or instead you could just put the joycon inside a gcc shell and wire up the buttons one by one. The hardware is not hard at all, it's getting the gcc to fit and look nice on the switch that's difficult, rather than just hot gluing it all together. Step 1: Don't overcomplicate

18 days later... IT'S ALIVE!!! It works great with the Xbox, and here a picture of it playing Spyro on the ps2 as well. You can see that the colors look fine in the pictures, but for some reason the screen looks blue tinted in the video. Sorry :P Internals (yuck):

Sorry I didn't clarify :D the switch sets include ABXY buttons and the 4 dpad buttons. Ds lite sets are abxy and dpad, and the GameCube sets are just abxy. Basically each baggie is a set

I just kept searching for "GameCube candy" and "GameCube gummy". It could be called "GameCube plastic case" but if you bookmark that you'll get game cases lol. I messaged the seller and asked him to let me know if he sold any more, so I can post it here if he does :)
