Do you have your battery circuit hooked up to the pthes when testing? Try using a 12v or similar power supply instead (not batteries).

The psp does a pretty good job of running ps1 games as well :) they're cheaper than the vita, and easy to hack.

Well if you underfill a two part mold, you get a big bubble in your button where the air was. But if you overfill it, nothing happens lol. You just waste a little resin, but it's better to overfill than underfill.

Did you put tape over your CPU and GPU before trimming so metal dust doesn't get in there? I killed my first trimmed wii by not taping them up. I couldn't find a short anywhere, but it wouldn't boot, and that sounds like what you are describing.
