Icy Wii - Cosmetic mod only

Right of the bat, I sincerely hope I won't trigger anyone with my use of a WiiKey fusion on a Wii. It's been catching dust for a while and someday (in another life) I'll take it out and use it on a GCP. Also, I don't know how to use anything else. This is only a cosmetic mod. The Disk Drive was...

Raspberry Pi 2 and 3 "Steve" Trim

I've found this : https://blog.adafruit.com/2016/03/02/pi-3-x-ray-raspberry_pi-raspberrypi-pi3/ Maybe it's obvious or of no help for you but I thought of this thread when reading this. Between both sides of the scan you can basically see all the layers.

    Worklog Switch-alike Portable

Are you using a PAL board ? I've had similar issues with screens on PAL 60Hz, the image was shifted to the left. EDIT : "Greetings from germany".. Well then that might be the PAL thing :/ I have no solution for it. I just tempered with the screen settings to offset the image but it wasn't...

    Worklog Various Cosmetic Console Mods

Maybe for your "Nintendo" stamp you could use the logo of a GameCube (for example) as a mold, and cast your stamp with something relatively maleable but hard that you can extract from the cast. Like wax or epoxy? (with a lubricant) Or even, press your water-based putty on the nintendo logo...

    Worklog Switch-alike Portable

That faceplate is beautiful ! I've been wishing I could do something like this for a while. It's great. It sells the quality and professionalism of the portable even before it's been built. What will you do for the controller? Do you want it to snap on? Keep going !

    Discussion N64 Noob Thread

My god thank you, I've been searching (admitedly, not for very long) for a simplistic amp with tact switch controls. This seems awesome. EDIT : 'found' these in the BOM.. guess I wasn't looking very hard..

    Question Button Holes & Bondo

Put a roll of paper in each button :) (and remove it before the bondo dries) But honestly you don't need to. Just spread the bondo everywhere and then take a knife to all your holes to just cut the bondo that got in it. Like Madmorda said, it's easy to chip it off.

    piig thread

For the french legislative elections (pretty important), here's what a party chose to display in their campaign clip : 5 secs of a pig swimming. They also have a kitten on their billboards. I feel that's unfair.

    Worklog The GS2

What are the tolerances you've set for the extrusions on the top/bottom brackets that will be connected together? With 3D printing I never know what will provide a tight fit without sanding too many printing defects. Also, how are you going to print the battery covers? with the lip and such...

Raspberry Pi 2 and 3 "Steve" Trim

Wouldn't using a pi3 compute module and building the features you need around it end up smaller? (only USB and HDMI for example) or are they radicaly different? I've been toying with this idea and when looking at the CMIO board, it seems HDMI and usb ar just a few components and traces away and...

    Question Gamecube fried?

I think I can see something ressembling that in his second picture, between the screen and video pins.. Looks like a dissassembled official cable no? But about that, Do you always put a 10k pot between comp and Gnd? I've never done it on my PAL GCs and have never had real issues other than...

Hi, lyberty5 from modretro mostly. I knew of this site basicaly from the begining but never read up too much on what was happening. I've been lurking for a few weeks now and I'm surprised to see so much action. The research and accomplishments on this forum are truly envigorating and make me...
