NetBoy - A network-focused portable for games and work

Thanks @Aurelio, The Eagle/Fusion integration is working great. Question for anyone who has bought my keyboards (or anyone else, really): I'd like to have nice action on the buttons for the game-controller portion. Should I match the kind-of hard "clickiness" of the keyboard buttons, or use...

What's the best way to move dimensions back and forth between Fusion and EDA software? I'm using easyEDA but I'll happily switch tools (the PCB doesn't need to be too complicated. I'm just not too stoked on the idea of manually applying dimensions for all the button spacing on my board.

Discussion Well doggone, PowerA beat me to it

While I've found this to be true, you gotta remember that "third-party" doesn't refer to any particular third party. So it's possible that these are find. Just depends on the company. I'm certainly not going to be the first to buy one of these, but you got my attention.

    * Copper is a good conductor. It's not strictly necessary, but wire is generally made of copper and I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it. What else were you thinking about using? * Individually shielding each wire will prevent the signals from interfering with each other; Shielding them...

Worklog The Lombardii - First (and a half) portable

Ooh ooh! Pick me! I actually have a slightly modded MPS+ and use hatchbox filament myself. One thing I would say off the bat is lower your temps. I print hatchbox black PLA at 190 with the bed at 60. I also print directly on glass, though the build-tak that the printer comes with isn't half...

Slider seems remarkably more difficult. This phone is in fact designed to dock; It has both the micro-USB port and a proprietary docking port on one of the long sides. I am very drawn to the clam-shell idea.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Decided to go with a more rectangular form factor. The flat sketch on top is the size of the phone (just a little larger than the screen). I've been thinking about how best to make this compact, and I'm actually considering making the bottom portion more of a...

    Question VGA vs Wii2HDMI

That would be VGA. Wii2HDMI uses the component (YPbPr) lines from the Wii, an inferior signal than VGA to begin with.

It's not a hole, it's a tunnel; things will get better. Keep on keeping on, my dude. Glad to hear you're making some progress. If you can push yourself to do those things you know you enjoy (like modding) even when you don't feel like doing them, I imagine you'll feel a bit better. PM me if you...

Money So I got a second part time job...

As it so happens, my boss here was insufferable, and treated his employees like they were all going to turn on him and rob the store at any moment. Not to mention that he stocked no useful parts and was a terrible communicator. Quit after about 2 months.

Vacuum Forming or 3D Printing a Case?

Personally, given a high enough resolution machine, I think 3D printing is easily the way to go. The surface finish won't necessarily be as perfect. However, the ability to include more complicated structures as well as supports like struts and screw-posts makes 3D printing superior IMHO.

NetBoy - A network-focused portable for games and work

Thank. The phone arrived, and it's looking like it will suit the project fine (though I do need to scrub some Japanese bloatware; that's the price of a cheap phone). I got access to my school's rediculously professional 3D printers, so once I'm comfortable with my home-printed prototype I'm...
