Ah i see. So the 12V is supplied to motherboard before the ps3 power button is pressed? There is no damage to motherboard?

I have a question about the 12V main power to the console. I see when the on/off switch turns on the 5V tto ps3 standby and the LCD. At this point is the PS3 motherboard also receiving 12V? I know the PS3 PSU doesn't supply 12V until the power button on PS3 is pressed.
