Solved How heavy is your GCP?

May seem like an odd and useless question. After assembling mine today that composes of a screen with its own controller board, the gc controller, half of the case, the wasp, and an untrimmed motherboard with its own complete heatsink, i kind of think mine is really heavy. Heavy enough that i...

    Question Acquiring a WASP Fusion

May shed some light onto this...or shade. Contacted the supplier 'Sophie Zheng' for orders of just a single piece about a month ago. After a lengthy amount of time of trying to get a response, she finally offered one for 20$ with 30$ plus for epacket shipping (their version of UPS). Haggled to a...

Question Rev C regulator and wasp pinouts? wiring?

Sometimes i tend to regret following suggestions... But here we go. Bought a new Rev-C mobo to replace my previous 'broken' board with no signal. Looks cleaner i have to admit but its like knowing a new room again. The regulator pinouts are not as direct as the Rev A's. The closest i can...

Question Signs of fried GC CPU and GPU? No output.

Haha i think the right word to describe it is 'overheating'. I allowed it to run multiple times that i have seen freezes being common as of late (it wasn't just three times as i remember now) and could have been the sign of the main chip or gpu chip overheating. Mounting irreparable each time a...

Question Signs of fried GC CPU and GPU? No output.

I have tried basically stripping it all down just to the motherboard and the screen. Desoldered the wasp and audio. Dewired and rewired everything. Checked the sitting of the sink for God only knows how many times now. Still no signal. But can still power the screen and controller port board...

Question Signs of fried GC CPU and GPU? No output.

Right when i thought i'm close to finishing my portable. Roadblock Just got my wasp fusion working after 3 days of wiring. Had a problem with either the pin 23 or region switch. But i got passed that. And right after 30 mins of enjoying wasp fusion capabilities, video freezes. Restarted, no...

Question Sealing: Epoxy Vs. Hot Glue

Haha. Hey man, just want to say the internals youve sent me from your gcp was a huge help. So after a loooooong work week, finally got into it. Did notice the pads were bumping to the solder which wouldnt let the gc controller case close. So i just trimmed the silicon pads to the solder points...

Question Sealing: Epoxy Vs. Hot Glue

Heya fam. Should have started a worklog instead but this should go. I am done with wiring the integrated controller and im very happy with it! Soldering is sloppy but it got the work done. Looking now to seal the solder points but thinking if epoxy is better than hot glue. Never used it...

Solved Wiring up the integrated GC controller problem

Call me impractical. But somehow, i kinda enjoy these problems. Makes finishing the portable all the more worthwhile. Its less of a waste of time, money and effort if i learn from this. Hey, if i still can't get mine running after maybe a week or three. I'd definitely get the GC+. ;):D:D:D...

Solved Wiring up the integrated GC controller problem

Much grateful for all the answers!! So so much. Sadly, my portable multimeter broke after leaving it open a few days. Thought it just ran out of juice but it never ran again after replacing the batt. So i have to just ground this thing and try it. Do i just solder a wire to a copper trace and...

Solved Wiring up the integrated GC controller problem

Been stuck getting the official gc controller working back again after cutting it up a few days ago. I've cut the board into two where the left analog, dpad and left trigger stays with the chip and the other half (c stick, face buttons, right trigger and z button) needs to be wired. I dont have...
