    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

I did test it after it was trimmed and it worked, it quit working after I wired it to the n64 board. Desoldered it and it doesn’t work in a normal n64 anymore either

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

Making progress.. New, better feeling trigger shapes, volume and power on top, corrected button placements. take a look at my custom pcbs lol, they are from the og controller. I plan to make 3d printed mounts to make cutting the board easier to replicate. The pieces will be held by brackets...

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

I assembled the 64amp myself, which really wasn’t as hard as I thought. Parts right now are like $50 to build 2 of them, I believe. Not including the price of a PICKit to program it.

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

I've put work into this almost every week since my last post. Unfortunately, I did several test prints of the controller-inspired design and it just is not comfortable to hold. Also, the unit needs to be so thick in only the middle, because the controller is very slim, which makes it not too...

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

You do not want to see how messy my fusion Timeline is lol. I am working everyday on this case design, here's a few pics. Will use all OEM buttons, L button will act as Z, No Dpad as of yet, thought about using a PSP slider as a small D pad. OEM screws as well Also test printed a side of the...

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

Swapped ram chips with 4mb and relocated PIF, worked great. Trimmed board and now wired it up, cannot get it to output a video signal. Chips get warm, does anyone see something wrong?

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

Here’s a good update tho, I sketched up a design I like a lot better than my current: (Inspired by the Ashida obviously) remaking the N64 controller in fusion, as it’s the only cad I really know

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

Good news is I bought an n64 for cheap that has a 4mb ram in it, but bad news is as I was soldering on the ram chips, I lifted one of the pads for the ram, so this board is done for, gonna need another board, yay. Also yes I will release the files for this 3D model when it is tested fully

    Worklog N64HH - N64 Portable

Question, I took the resistors (R1, R2, etc.) off of the actual motherboard. Looking at official pictures of the PIF replacement board, the resistors have different numbers on the resistors? Will mine still work? UPDATE: this will not work as the names (R1, R2) are not the same resistors on the...
