    Worklog *Classic* Squiiffer

IMO a huge improvement over the red and white mock up. Not that I didn't like that design, but I think rounded corners add to the aesthetics and the shoulder buttons are vastly improved. I was about to ask about that weird divot under the + button, but then I read. A decent skill set to have...

Great work! The internals look really clean, at least to me. Looks like a blast to play!

    Worklog Gman's MGC64 thing

Fine. Go ahead and put the rest of us to shame. No, it's cool. There are still a few moments out of every day when the uncompleted remains of my 64p work-in-progress don't haunt me.

    Question Building my first n64p

Hey modio! Yesssss more N64s! To answer your first two questions, the N64 can easily run off of a 7.4V pack, although it should be able to go as low as 5V since that line feeds directly into a linear regulator. Regardless of trim, you will need a single voltage regulator to step down your...

Worklog PSXp (A playstation 1 portable)

No, my original portable used a PSone. The rebuild would use the same. I just shorthand to ps1 out of laziness.

It’s an old post, but I always remember that Matthew was offering a printing service.

    G-Wii Christmas Giveaway Stream

    1. Weekday during working hours. It’s a shame I’m more likely to watch during work than in the evenings when my kids are up 2. Green and gold gets another vote from me.

Worklog PSXp (A playstation 1 portable)

That’s quite a shame. I managed to kill a ps1 board in a similar manner. You know, I may have to go ahead and rebuild my ps1p, just to keep the dream alive. I’ve already got a memeworthy name picked out. And not to get your hopes up, but if/when I rebuild, I’ll probably have to gut a working...

Worklog PSXp (A playstation 1 portable)

Reminds me that I’d like to rebuild my ps1p that was heavily frankencased. But at the same time I’ve partially joined the jUsT gEt A pSp camp.

Question Do you think this wire is fine?

You would probably be fine with that. Nobody took the time to come back and write a scathing review about how it's so brittle that it breaks when making a 90 degree bend, so that's a good sign. Your choice in wire gauges sound good. If you haven't already, I think it's time to start that worklog!

Figured Portal was the obvious choice for a pair of bookends. Not my design, by the way. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:55553

    [WTB] mini64 v2.x board

Isn’t Mini64 the small controller board made by RDC? (If those are the right letters. I always think of him as Downing’s friend.)

Worklog Luiigi's Portable Mansion (First Wii Portable)

Case is looking good! This should come together nicely. As I have discovered in my own project, fillets can get weird when you're trying to do multiple edges back to back. Sometimes you have to rethink the order. Other times you just gotta go with what works. If you wanted to do a concave...

    Worklog G-Luma 64

More or less. The plan is to put in a small fan north of the gloomba piece behind that internal wall. The wall is there to guide the airflow down toward the RCP. How effective it will be, I don't know. Sadly, this is where my ignorance of such things shines through. I've been called out.

    Worklog N64MINI build

Despite the continuity, try thicker wire for the cart slot voltages/grounds. As far as next tests, I would hook up audio and see if you get any sound to come out. Seems like a long shot, but if that works then it narrows down what you need to work on.

    Worklog G-Luma 64

I had a major "aww screw it" moment while designing my case. I had bought a spool of glow filament for no particular reason (because it's cool) and decided I will make this portable glow once again. The surface is a little rough, but it will have to remain as is since I've already had a heck...

    Finally got a 3D Printer...

I printed that very same filament guide arm. For some reason the part that presses into the frame started coming loose, so I used some duct tape to hold it in place. A bit tacky, but I don't care how the printer looks, just the prints. But still it's a good print because I made a spool rack out...
