  1. [Release] A PS2 Portable

Absolute masterclass of a portable. Happy to have been a help!
  2. Release Wii errorcode sniffer

A simple project for the Raspberry Pi Pico (and other compatible boards) to read Wii/Wii U debug port error codes. Useful for several things, including troubleshooting a trim not booting. How to use it: - Flash the uf2 from the github release to the Pico - Wire the Wii (U) debug port to the...
  3. Mold shell ashida

I wish there were a slightly darker green color, in the clear shells, but otherwise, all of those colors other than maybe the clear yellow
  4. Worklog OpenMMC3: An open source reimplementation of the MMC3 NES mapper chip.

Background With the amazing TinyTendo project by RedHerring32, the NES took on a GB-sized form factor, with cartridges around the size of a GB game. Of course, when shrinking a cartridge, you might not be able to use the original ROMs due to size constraints. Luckily modern flash alternatives...

Ahh, that makes more sense, thanks
  6. Worklog Some PS2 Project

Isn't FreeDVDBoot a thing already? Or do you mean something different?
  7. Worklog Some PS2 Project

Absolutely incredible work, cannot wait to see the finished product! Glad I was able to help with the controller code. I probably wouldn't be able to finish such an ambitious project, personally, but I'm happy I could contribute, even it was in such a small way. I hope everything goes as...
  8. Question Driver board broken pads

As an addon, if you don't care to save the connector, and don't have/don't want to use hot air, I suggest cutting the plastic up with an xacto knife or similar, such that each pin and its attached bit of plastic can be removed individually. You'll tear less pads that way.
  9. Question Driver board broken pads

If you're able to solder to the components/pads where each line I drew ends, you should be able to salvage it. Good luck!
  10. Worklog Some PS2 Project

Excellent project! Your determination on this, and the methodical "do one piece at a time" approach is awesome and I can't wait to see more. On that note, I'm a bit of an rp2040 enthusiast, and I'd be happy to help with it if you're willing. I think the PIO and DMA subsystems could be used to...
  11. Worklog PS2IO - A new loading method based on old knowledge

as long as the logic level is the same and you don't directly short power to ground, you're probably fine
  12. Discussion PowerMii Lite - Interest Thread

you missed the part where I said I didn't need one :P
  13. Discussion PowerMii Lite - Interest Thread

I mean, I have all of the skills/equipment needed to solder one together myself.... That said, I don't really have a need for one :P and I could probably just whip my own board up if I really needed to.

    B-beautiful :')
  15. Discussion Share your tattoo/s

@Aurelio the outline is obviously the open source hardware logo. The inner pattern I'm not sure on, though.
  16. Worklog Portable PS2

Yeah, I just really don't like sparkfun. They make a lot of very overpriced stuff, IMO. It's less about the board and more about the fact it's from sparkfun, and the way they overcharge for pretty much everything.
  17. Worklog Portable PS2

    >Sparkfun USB break out GMAN PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  18. Worklog Portable PS2

looks like a general glob top and like the board could have been cut down a TON. If he wanted/needed to.
  19. Worklog PS2 Trimming Initiative

it's literally already there on PS2 I thought? Like, the only reason Gman did what he did is because he cut the chip off.... Pretty sure, might be wrong though.
  20. Worklog Kill Mii (Altoids Tin Portable)

Aren't you worried about the vinyl stretching and things being inaccurate? Maybe it doesn't matter and is my inner perfectionist coming out with that concern, but just a thought.
