I am trying to build a battery life indicator:
I have a couple of questions about it:
1. Will it be fine if I simply hook up my 7.4v batteries to the circuit?
2. About what voltage is a 7.4v battery about to die, so that I can set it at that?
3. Which model of transistors I should use? It...
I've decided the best way will be to draw out the button holes first, drill them out (as Noah had suggested), then use a round or flat file depending on the button. Thanks for the help. :)
Anyone know of any good case cutting techniques? Specifically for the button holes and that sort of thing. I don't have any machines that'll do the work for me so I have to do it with hand tools. I can't seem to cut holes accurately and evenly so that's why I ask.
Thanks
Well I currently own two 7.4v packs, each with 2.5 amps, so if I wired those in parallel I'd simply double the amps right? They each have a pcm built in already.
I have a small update concerning the matter - I decided to take out my old and broken psone screen to analyze the problem again. Here's a video of what happens:
As you can see, the screen goes blurry with lines once at the opening, and once at the end of the video. The brightness controls work...
@Noah @Luke I do agree that a proper diagram is needed for BB and I would love to see one. :)
@Providencial Thanks! So, from what you've told me, the first diagram's two 3.7's are individual cells, not packs? Does that mean the second diagram's info is incorrect when it says I need two 7.4v packs?
Looking over multiple wiring diagrams for the n64, I've noticed some do and some do not include a protection circuit board. For instance:
PCM:
No PCM:
Does the first one have something to do with the fact that it's using two 3.7v batteries as oppose to two 7.4's like the second (and every...
Looks like a good deal indeed, thanks. Seeing that it doesn't come with the speakers, I could just wire up my psone speakers right? (Sorry for getting off the topic of screens!)
^ that would indeed be helpful, but I have another question relating to the matter. Since none of the screens have audio, I suppose I would have to buy a seperate audio system.. I mean I still have my old psone speakers, but the volume control on the pcb will no longer work.. Is there any way I...
Perfect! One thing I'm unsure about though.. Does it or doesn't it take audio? I mean I can understand why it wouldn't being that it's a backup screen, but I don't see anything about audio specs (things you'd expect to see in description). It does feature right and left audio inputs in the image...
Like this one for instance?

It takes 12v, so since it's the same as the n64 I would assume I'd be good. Concerning battery life, I have two 7.4v batteries with a total of 5000mah, so I think I should be good with a screen this?
No questions in the N64 section? Has N64 modding died already?
Anyway, about a year or two ago, I fried my old psone screen by powering it with a voltage too high, and I can't particularly afford another one.. That's why I ask, does anyone know any cheap alternatives that anyone has had...
Hmm, well unfortunately I have very minimal experience with wii modding and therefore don't know how cIOS works. When you say 'actual hardware required', what hardware are you referring to? Also, is cIOS used to make given buttons act as modifiers?
Well obviously there wouldn't be full support for all wii games, like wii sports for instance, but for games like mario galaxy you'd need it to shoot starbits as you said, as well as to grab on to those gravity pull things, etc. there would also have to be a way to shake the remote, and tilt it...
I'm sure you've all thought about this before, but is the idea of using an analog stick as the wii cursor a possibility? I mean the way I see it, the one true way to have a handheld wii portable would be one which can play wii games, not just gamecube games and emulators. One requirement for...
I figured that was the case, I just wanted to be sure because in previous mods I've seen, (hailrazer, bacteria) they kept the entire c stick board (though mine was broken in this case). Thanks for the help!
Wasn't sure whether to put this in the N64 section or the Gamecube section, but I figured it mainly had to do with the GC so whatever. Here I have a gamecube joystick, still on the gamecube controller board, wired to a superpad64:
I will be fitting it back into the superpad's case, so I want...
