I used an amp that outputted 2W of power and that worked great for me.

Weirdest thing you've found inside a console?

I once disassembled an iphone 3GS (so you know it was long ago) and found child-sized finger prints on the shielding under the motherboard. Keep in mind I had bought this phone brand new from the store, so the only person who had ever owned it at that point was me...

Alright, I'll order the charger soon and hopefully charging them will fix it. Thanks for the help

Well they came at 7.1v but died to around 5.8v within about two days. Is it normal for them to lose this much voltage in this amount of time? Like I said, I hadn't charged them at all so I'm not sure if chargining beforehand will make this range last longer or not.

I actually don't have the charger yet (I'm waiting till I'm able to spend another 40$ for it), but I shorted B- and P- and that actually got it working. My only issue is, the battery life still seems amazingly short for what it should be. Do I have to fully charge them or something before they...

I just bought some new 18650s because I thought I damaged the old ones (they were draining significantly fast), but I'm having trouble with the new ones so I'm starting to think nothing was wrong with the old ones. Basically I have two sets each wired in series and then the two packs wired in...

It really helps to make a clean and secure connection, and for this case it'll help flow to the trace you're applying to.

Before you completely give up on it, have you tried using flux? That's the only way I managed to solder on super tiny traces like bluetooth.

I'm way above good I guess, I didn't realize they could drain that much. Thanks :)

About what voltage would a PCB for 18650s at 7.4v (like the one in the BOM) cut off at? I just checked my battery's voltage and it is at 6.1v and still supplying it, so I'm pretty concerned.

For the PCB? It takes up literally no extra space.

    Solved About PCB's...

If you're going to do that, why wouldn't you just buy the panasonic 18650s from the portablizing BOM for almost half the price, then buy the PCB to go with it for an extra 2$? It saves you like 20$.

    Question Black plastic part

If you're asking if it works well to use as a handheld, I would say yes. I just finished a portable using one and it fits rather nice in the hands. It doesn't "have" to be anything, it's your design - that's the point of making a portable.

Yeah, I was the one you showed how to wire it. I figured if everyone uses the amp in the portablizing BOM then if any, that should be the one the diagram works for. Though I would like to know the most common method people use for wiring up a headphone jack since most people seem to have no...
