  1. Famicom Gboy

Oh that’s great news! I also thought there would be mounting differences for the audio PCB but if it’s identical otherwise then it’s great! I guess for the LED you will have to slightly modify the shell to make room for the RVL-PMS-lite big ass LED. The lens really adds a nice touch to it...
  2. Famicom Gboy

Curtis has confirmed that I can upload the .STL for the modified front that accomodates the lens. This STL is compatible with the original Gboy 3D models and PCBs by Gunnar, I do not know if it is compatible with the newer models released by Dustin. Full credits to Curtis.
  3. Famicom Gboy

Thanks for the info, guess I’ll try it out for my next portable!
  4. Famicom Gboy

It's been a long ride building this Gboy but I am so thrilled to have finally finished it! My goal with this build is to aim for a portable that could be as close as possible to something that Nintendo could have made. The kit is from the last batch of kits that Gunnar put on sale at the end of...
  5. RVLoader v2.1

I managed to get it to work a few months ago. I am not sure which cios you installed, make sur you follow the guide on https://wii.guide/cios. Try booting a game without a patch and if that works then try booting the patched game.
  6. RVLoader v2.1

RVLoader seems to be having an issue with loading patched wbfs files at the moment. It might be fixed in a future release but as of now you can only launch a patched game using another loader such as USB Loader GX.
  7. Worklog The LIGHTNiiNG - BLOCKED

My bad, then I guess the problem comes from somewhere else. I don’t know how you could test your AVE, GPU and CPU connections
  8. Worklog The LIGHTNiiNG - BLOCKED

If VGA patches are enabled you must use VGA otherwise you’ll get a black screen. Try to wire VGA and see if that works out.
  9. Worklog The LIGHTNiiNG - BLOCKED

Can you show us the wiring between the Wii and the display board? Did you enable the VGA patches? Did you test this exact setup but on a trimmed Wii before transplanting parts over?
  10. Worklog The LIGHTNiiNG - BLOCKED

Time and dedication have started to pay off, congratulations! A step closer to a fully integrated portable
  11. Worklog The LIGHTNiiNG - BLOCKED

Excellent! Keep it up, you're doing groundbreaking work!
  12. Worklog The LIGHTNiiNG - BLOCKED

That’s great! Which LCD driver board are you working on (the one sold on 4Layertech)? Also, do you have a version of the Wii motherboard that boots?
  13. Worklog [2022 Contest Entry] PS2DMG - Contest Entry 2022 - Worklog

    Excellent work you’ve outdone yourself!
  14. G-Boy PCB Files?

Very cool thank you for sharing this and good job! For the added height, maybe you could just keep the RVL-AMP on its own and add mounts for the headphone jack and speakers so that you don’t have to have the RVL-AMP sitting on an extra PCB.
  15. G-Boy PCB Files?

That's great work! Do you have a working GBoy with your shell and PCBs that you could show pictures of?
  16. Worklog [2022 Contest Entry] PS2DMG - Contest Entry 2022 - Worklog

Very nice! Loving the hand wired HDMI. Another (more expensive) solution would have been using two 19-pin FFC connectors and a ribbon cable. That's what I did for my Gboy, I used double sided tape to sit it on top of the Wii mobo. You've got plenty of space where you've put it, it should close...
  17. Worklog [2022 Contest Entry] PS2DMG - Contest Entry 2022 - Worklog

    Awesome update, keep it up!!
  18. RVLoader v2.1

For it to work you should do the following: Boot the Wii using RVLoader Using the C-Stick navigate towards the Homebrew menu Launch USB Loader GX from this menu You should be able to play MKWii normally this way
  19. RVLoader v2.1

Through USB, but USB Loader GX requires specific folder and file naming for it to recognize the iso. I also per-patched the game with the Wiimmfi patch.
  20. RVLoader v2.1

Unfortunately Wifi does not work with RVLoader at the moment. I’ve managed to play MKWii online with usb loader GX.
