Thanks it was easier to do than I expected. You'll like these 2 pics then as well. The middle piece was left running while I left to work so all I got is a progress pic *** Post update with the finished print photo of the middle piece

Question building my first ps2 portable

That is because it isn't a 79001, its 75001 or so, it's the board with the built in dvd drive on the motherboard. If it was a 70000 ish series there'd be a dial up port, but still not a 79001

    Worklog Partybox styled build

Well now that my larger printer is up and running I think I can get around to starting this build log. So I'm more a fan of using a standard controller vs some of the controls that can be had in a handheld build, which has had me liking the partybox from Wesk since I came across it just didn't...

    G-Boy valuation help

Not officially posted on the BB forums, more being mentioning it on the discord server, there is no set date of return but several of the established modders have stuff in the works, new store as well not a BB store. 4layertech.com

    Worklog My first portable (PS2)

The only thing I can think of as test the image below shows a 5v point by the video chip, Check if you got voltage there, and if you can send a full shot of the bottom and top of your PS2, maybe someone here might see something off...

    Worklog My first portable (PS2)

This is the best pic I can offer up prior to assembly, I've seen it in Gman's advanced trims and others where they remove all those top capacitors

    Worklog My first portable (PS2)

Best is to remove it, you could just remove the 5v pin from it as well, then solder the 5v from the PMS to that point.

    Worklog My first portable (PS2)

Pics when you can, but by any chance did you remove the av caps? It has happened before for taking video from the av out connector but since it's a further spot down from the removed caps it wouldn't have video there. ** Actually one thing I did notice on your pics above is you didn't put the...

    Worklog My first ps2 portable

Have you tested the switch sticks with the 3rd party controller? As far as I'm aware theres likely to be dead zone issues with different sticks just swapped in. The rvl Pms on GitHub could be modified to be able to make the PS2 PMS, depending on trim you can go pth buck convertors and a couple...

Question Pi3 + smb not work

Would you be able to post a few pics of your wiring, on the pi and the PS2? The pi 3 is finiky and that diagram worked for Gman I believe on the PS2 razer but it was a 3b+. Also what pi are you using?

Question Not booting into the RVL loader.

If you mean is there a store front for something like the old rvl PMS, there is an updated souped up model now. New rvl-pms 2 There is a variety of other portable goodies on the site too

Raspberry Pi 3 on PS2 Portable

My answer still explains it, stepdown voltage from the power input on the PS2 slim. There is no 5v point on the PS2 that can handle the current for a raspberry pi You'll need to source 5v step down with a good enough power draw for the pi3 and usb drive. I missed the portable portion initially...

Raspberry Pi 3 on PS2 Portable

If this is a portable or inside a console for your tv the pi has too large of a 5v current requirement to run directly off the motherboard. In the case of for your tv a step down from the power adapter input. In the case of a portable and you're running a 2s battery setup it's the same thing...

    Worklog Portable J4125

Not sure where you're located so sourcing this may not be amazing but there is a 7" 1280*800 IPS panel floating around 30pin lvds # HSD070PWW1-B01 I did see just the panel on AliExpress, but Robotshop.com did have it with a driver board, and a voltage modifiable board too 7" IPS 1280*800

    Question PS2 portable USB

So I'm not sure how you're trying to solder the wires on as you haven't offered up a photo but having gone through this on my PS2 and Wii you're going to want to stagger the wires, this allows for one wire not interfering with the other as you try to solder. Sadly the PS2 only has those 2 pairs...

Solved Issues charging my N64 Portable + LED screen displaying static

B1 is BM, it is still the middle of a 2s pack. That site explains in the description where to connect everything. I've never used that one and that blue board was work perfectly fine for myself less connections to worry about, but it will be your choice.
