    Worklog GC+ 2.0 DIY controller

So for the sake of portability and something less bulky in design than a standard GC controller. I'm giving a go at a GC+ 2.0 non custom PCB board design intially for the sake of prototyping and I'm not kicad proficient yet. This had been something I wanted to do once I had my partybox done so I...

    Zelda themed Partybox HDMI

Thanks, it was a first try at the colour swaping and I'm glad it did work. I ran with an idea of putting the ave HDMI inset to the rear base so I could have a removable HDMI from the LCD. That way I could plug in a tv but it was an issue of space for the most part, an omega trim would have...

    Zelda themed Partybox HDMI

First off I gotta thank @Wesk for his partybox build and suffering through numerous questions. Since I joined BitBuilt and went through the models section I always wanted to build my own version of the partybox and finally I got there. The biggest hindrance at the time was definitely the lack...

    Worklog Partybox styled build

I need to invest in T-handle Allen keys, my fingers hurt from trying to do the initial thread of these screws. However! It all fit together. Tests to be had now for the next few days, minor audio fix might be necessary, battery life tests, heat seems good approx 50°C as per PMS. The plastic...

can't get ps2 to turn on after standard trim

I would suggest reading over the guide carefully as you've missed a voltage relocation that the guide talks about. Also make sure all your edges are clean so there are no shorts, which means taking some sand paper to them. **All components that are cut through need to be removed as well these...

    Worklog Partybox styled build

So redid placement of my ir LEDs and some video wiring for the ave and my system is much more stable and Mario Galaxy 2 was very much playable with a Wiimote without needing to sit about 3 feet away, now it's about half that. I did get my SLS printed ashida so I totally got side tracked painting...

Worklog Reviive Worklog and Questions - Portable Wii Brought Back From The Dead!

Just to throw my 2¢ into the mix, I was looking at the rvl PMS in this build and was going to mention when you have your new batteries wired up you could check the vsys voltage of the PMS to see if the BQ chip for the charger wasn't accidentally fried. I did notice on the PMS there's a stray...

Discussion G-Boy Rev III - DIY Portable Kit

Yeah the gboy from the BB store is gone, there are plenty of things in the works. The newest one just release is the ashida it's bigger than the gboy but it's a full size GameCube controller unit. There's always a chance the gboy might come back through other means, the chip shortage makes...

Couple more testing pics. Not visible the best on these photos but you'll notice the slight purple on the ir LEDs was only way of confirming that I have working ir, aside from checking sensitivity in the ii menu

    Worklog My ps2 portable worklog

So the display board won't support VGA from PS2, that board doesn't support Wii interlaced video as well, the main video chip that's scuffed is a rtd2660 type chip which as most boards seem to be doesn't like interlaced VGA. The green one you've seen that's similar just has some varied DC...

    Worklog My ps2 portable worklog

For your screen if you provide a bit more info someone can recommended what video to use. For VGA from the PS2 it's actually a not so widely supported 15kz VGA interlaced so most new display won't accept that video. For the PS2 power button, the PS2 will always need a signal/button press on the...

    Worklog Partybox styled build

Build update time again, some spare time this weekend to get some soldering done. So far I would say I'm finished with the top half with the LCD and IR LEDs, I need to progress the bottom half before I can test how well the wiimote pointer works but they light up decently checking with my phone...

    Question RVL-PMS question

The GitHub matches the pms1 what left side components are you talking about, one side has the 5v outputs with 3.3v and such and the other has the pic with led resistors and connections to a pd board that wasn't open-source released. The only thing is stock sucks atm

    Ashida Wii Portable

Any chance there's a list of recommended Tamiya paints for "near" GameCube colours? Either for those painting over transparent SLA or those painting opaque colours

So DD wiring is usually 38 awg then? These for testing are 30 awg but I hadn't been totally sure about using the 36awg that I've got for the digital signal wiring, eventually that ave HDMI board will ideally be mounted where that angle cut from the trim is

    Worklog Partybox styled build

Progress has been made with fpc ribbon HDMI video from the ave HDMI to a 5" modded screen. Need to hot air the HDMI connector on my 7" LCD but looks like a probability so far. Still lots to do

    Worklog Partybox styled build

So minor update, trims working, zapped the PMS2 so new BQ chip on the way, ave has been kicked to the curb, hopefully will stay that way. Now that I know ave HDMI is working and best practices for it I'll be testing the fpc connector swap one with a different screen to see how well it works...
