So you didn't install the vga patch, and are expecting to get vga by wiring mode to 3.3v, no patch means mode to 3.3 is outputting component video. I would recommend doing some research on the motherboards to understand why it’s built for this model of ps2.

A 9 series ps2 has a completely different motherboard layout with the inclusion of the power brick internally. It unfortunately can’t be cut square like the 79 series. If you look for different version codes 79001 or 79002 or even 79003 those are different regions and might be easier to obtain.

The issue is vga overrides component output so component cables won’t work and using wii2hdmi it needs to be plugged back in after turning the wii on to get a video, it’s also in the rvloader faq
