But the pack includes emulators for n64 and nes right? So you could play those consoles through ththe emulators. Sounds like you don't really need it unless you want animal crossing or to play VC games?

What's your reasoning behind relocating the MX chip? Is it worth it? I know it provides RTC, do any games or anything require RTC?

    Question Regulators other than TI

Aurelio told me on chat that he's tried them and there was a general lack of quality. Apparently they get really hot and might not be able to sustain the current we need. I went ahead and bought TIs and some SMD caps and resistors.

    Portablizing BOM

I was only considering it until I realized you could build an indicator with two transistors instead of the 5 in daft mikes original guide xD

    Portablizing BOM

Oh it's Loud as shit. But you can just take it off. It has a red led already. However, I decided it would be easier and smaller to just do a proper two transistor circuit. I'm not sure how much current the RC part draws.

Awesome, can't believe I didn't find that lol.

    The Wiiboy rev2

New question.. Is there a guide for this 2transistor version of a low battery circuit? IIRC daftmikes old schematic used 5.

    The Wiiboy rev2

The easiest way to do it would be to find the right pcb. A few years ago I used a portable DVD player battery pack. The charging circuitry was built into the pcb so the power adapter was actually just a fixed 2.5a power supply. The pcb allowed the device to keep running and used the rest of the...

    Question Regulators other than TI

Thanks noah lol. Aurelio mentioned it earlier. It is showing for me but I tried to force it to stay a link cause I knew there might be an issue.

    Question Regulators other than TI

Hey guys, I'm heading into my next project and I'm looking at regulators now. I found some cheap ones on amazon with positive reviews and I'm wondering if y'all think they'll work fine for the wii. They Run at 92% efficiency which is nearly identical to the PTH08080 regulators. Is the current...

    The Wiiboy rev2

Ah I see. I thought you meant play and charge through the same jack at the same time, which would of course have been a feat for us lol. I think I would rather use two small jacks so you can do both at once. Still cool though and obviously an epic portable.

Hey mate, what kind of heat sink/fan setup is that? And are there details about play and charge through the same jack somewhere?

So many wires!!!! Back panel BOOM!!!! Nearly there! Just needs a cover over the exposed board in the back. I think this might be the smallest ps2p ever, though by volume it might be a close race between this and the ag-85 based units gman made. However, I did add literally 50% to the...

Nice, someone else had the idea to combine ports into one connector. Have you done any testing with charging currents going through an HDMI cord, or to see if you get any interference from having power lines going through the same cord as composite?

    Screen with the tiny board

Don't want to bump this thread too far, but it seemed like as good a spot as any. How do you identify the screen with this tiny motherboard when looking at all the ones online? Edit, lol never mind, I just realized this one is sold as a bare screen and board, not a backup monitor.
