Thanks bud. Yeh yeh I will. If I cut the GC controller to the same lines you did in your wiiboy and wire the buttons according to the diagram in the guide hub, am I good to go?

Now that's a hella low profile double tact shoulder right there

Does the GC controller use ground as the common for the buttons? Can I trim it down to just the chip? Or should I trim it to Ashens original trim shape?

The regulators have SMD caps soldered on the board so their footprint is just the pcb :)

Day 3: can I get a hell yeah? Your first look at the case. This one was laser cut by shank. As you can see, it will be a tight fit. The two cells on the left are separated slightly as you can see when the wii board flips over, the 1.8v reg will settle in between them just barely. I have...

    Troubleshooting Techniques

Yeah, you're gonna need to check voltage at the battery, at the switch, and at the console. Check with another screen to confirm that it's not a video issue. If it gets dire maybe grab another console and wire the power up in parallel and see if that one boots. Then you'd know there is a problem...

I believe I've figured a way to fit it in without relocating it. It will be tough but that would be the case either way :P

The batteries actually sit on either side of the heat sink, so it won't be an issue. There's about 3/8" clearance between the heat sinks and the batteries, so no issues with heat on the main chips.

I need my batteries to sit directly against the pcb in that spot or the thickness will become a major issue :(

Alright I'll squeeze it in somewhere lol. It might need a little bit of a heat sink too but at only half an amp I'm not sure.

Damn. I'm gonna have to find a spot to put this thing then. It's too thick. Do you know what kind of current flows through it so I can figure my wire size?

Why do I have to keep this 1.8v regs if I have my own with the 08080 :(

Day 2: can I take this damned regulator off? Do I have to bridge anything or do anything special or can I just yank it off and call it good?

    Worklog RIIIIIP

Can you play VC games without buying them through the official wifi channels?

    Worklog RIIIIIP

But to use VC you'd have to buy the games through The wii store over wifi right? Or is there a workaround for that?
