Once the GC+ has power how does it communicate with the wii exactly? Are there data pins that I need to connect to the wii motherboard?

I'm trying to figure out where the GC+ connects to on the Wii motherboard. I have the original GC+ and I found the documentation (https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/gc-documentation.695/), but I don't know where the + and - lines go. The document just says 3.3v and GND.

Just did a recheck on the lines and sure enough they were backwards. :facepalm:

This is the drive structure

The drive is fat32 with 32kb clusters and still nothing. The drive is a Sandisk Ultra Fit

VGA completed successfully! Thank you all for the tips! New issue: The usb drive isn't showing RVLoader. The files are on the drive what could be the issue? Not sure what's next but I'm getting close to the buttons next I think.

This looks a little funky. Not sure if it could be causing the issue or not

Don't use electrical tape it will melt with the solder tip. Kapton tape is heat resistant tape.

Do you have the 5v hooked up to a screen? Is the screen not coming on?

I did not. I'll have to check out that setting once I get my screen working again.

Got the batteries all soldered up and tested! Everything seems to power on okay! I won't be able to test the screen until I get VGA all finished since I removed the buttons to switch inputs already. I'm a little nervous about the v-sync and h-sync lines since they are so small to solder to. I...

I just got the LED indicator light soldered up to my PMS-Lite and it won't turn off even when I power down the PMS. The light just stays a solid red on or off.

Got the Wii wired up along with the PMS-PD data lines. Next step is the one I'm most worried about, batteries. I just don't want anything to explode on me :|

That’s your 1v line. It’s required for everything to work. Check if you still get resistance and voltage through it. You may have damaged it.

Question for the buttons... Do I need to ground each button individually or can I connect them all together to the GC+?

Finally started my first portable! I bought all the stuff for this thing probably 3 years ago and I'm just now getting the ambition to start it. I've already got the trim done and tested that it's working. I started to mount the items in the case. I'll be taking more photos when I get home...

I figured out the issue! I was not supplying enough AMPs with only one battery. I attached a second battery and BOOM! Boots every time now. Excuse the battery casing it started to rip after removing it so many times.
