Worklog Reviive Worklog and Questions - Portable Wii Brought Back From The Dead!

If the battery voltage dropped that low they probably are irreparably damaged. Even if they charge back up they will probably only have a fraction of their initial capacity. I would just get new batteries.

    Model Gamecube controller STL

Hey, thanks for your work on this. I attempted a print of this model, and found a minor issue with the model. The lip on certain parts of the edge is too wide, and prevents the shell from closing. See the attached image. Compared to Wesk's model

Solved A Few Questions Regarding the New 4layer Store

It's actually more nuanced than this. Fabs for manufacturing silicon designs need to be booked like a year in advance. At the beginning of COVID companies were ordering less. Then further in to the pandemic the electronics demand boomed as we adapted to working from home, etc. The fabs were...

Solved A Few Questions Regarding the New 4layer Store

One of the attractive features of the i2c protocol is the ability to have several devices connected in parallel. i2c sends a device address to all peripherals on the bus, whichever one matches the address will respond. The DD is out of stock mostly because of the silicon shortage - the main...

Question 3d printer files for case?

The 2 most recommended printers on this forum are the prusa mk3s and the ender 3. The prusa is better, requires less tuning, and mostly just works out of the box, but at a larger price tag. The ender 3 is pretty affordable, yet still achieves good quality if you put in the time to tune it and...

    Solved RVL PMS Ordering?

This post doesn't seem relevant to this thread, furthermore, that portable is not open source, and used custom circuits that are also not open source.

    RVL-PMS-2

Are you sure about this? I don't think so. The reason we do that is because we're soldering U10 in place of U5. The trace is cut to prevent the pad that's soldered down as the U10 output from being connected elsewhere. With the PMS2, the U10 IC is not used at all.

    Solved RVL PMS Ordering?

Hi there, The PMSv1 is now deprecated with the release of the PMSv2 (see here: https://4layertech.com/collections/modular-line/products/rvl-pms-2). It has additional features as well such as short circuit protection which would prevent you from killing any additional boards. Of course, there...

Question Trying to design voltage regulator PCB. Will this work?

You may want to keep all your components on the top side of the board, it makes it easier to assemble and sometimes easier to mount in a case. Typically your footprint will have vias connecting the center pad to the bottom ground plane. If you haven't fabbed your board already, you should go...

Worklog The potato of handhelds - somehow it turns on

You are SOL on that pin. You broke the pin and the pad off. If it was just the pad you could fix it. Why did you (attempt to) solder directly to the pin in the first place? You could have soldered to many other easier points. The best you can do now is to use a different video signal, like VGA...
