    Worklog OpeN64 - Worklog

This is outstanding! See now I've got a little voice in the back of my head saying "we should minify this" ;)

Worklog Portable in Wii U gamepad

The Wii U gamepad is great for stuffing things inside! I've done everything from a PS2 to a Raspberry Pi, and even a Pi Zero - it fits the 6.5" HDMI screen with a tiny amount of trimming, and usually has enough room to do everything you want, but a 3D printer may help you out. Good luck and I'm...

    [Release] A PS2 Portable

This has made my whole week! It's a masterclass in design and a thing of beauty!

Worklog [2024 Contest Entry] WII GOmega

I should add that it doesn't have to be perfect to be "finished" - hell I broke my screen hours before the competition closed and so I entered a "this was great until 5 minutes ago" video entry! lol

While the flat lady may be getting warmed up she's not on stage and singing yet! Have a sleep, have a think, see if you can fight through the Autodesk BS! I believe in you!

What do you consider to be your greatest contribution to portabilizing?

People can read my logs and find out all the ways not to do something because it seems I killed and inordinate number of consoles ;) EDIT: Oh, and fantastic things to do with a Wii U gamepad!

Worklog [2024 Contest Entry] PS2 Portal

I'll note that I hit a lot of stuff like this, even when buying the same screen (previously known good) from the same manufacturer. What I did as a last-ditch resort was used a s-video to HDMI adapter that magically worked like a charm, and didn't show a noticeable quality difference when I...

Worklog [2024 Contest Entry] PS2 Portal

I agree totally! Frankencasing is a lost art now and it's very dear to my heart as it's something I spent the better part of a decade doing!

    Eyoyo 16:9 y/pb/pr screen?

When I last brought one of the 8" Eyoyo screens it advertised has having yPbPr support and turned out that it didn't. I was very dissapointed and ended up using a s-video to VGA adapter just to get the project finished. I did spend ages looking into programming the RTD2660H chip myself, but was...

    Worklog N64 Micro

I've been trying to think of something to add here as I've screwed around with the N64 a lot. There are a couple of troubleshooting steps I could suggest that might help :) To see if the system has booted have a look at chatter on the PIF chip, Pin 2 or 5 (I can't remember sorry, and my notes...

Question Modders, What Got You Into Modding?

I came here from Modretro and Assembler too. Such a shame to lose all that knowledge when the sites closed down!

    Worklog PIS2, a long overdue ps2 portable

Start a new forum post for help. I'm not going to keep helping you if you're just posting on someone elses completed project ;) With the components still on the PS2 board and the router the magnetic decoupling will still correct the signal, allowing you to get an idea of what the wiring should be.

    Worklog PIS2, a long overdue ps2 portable

Hey dude, Step one would be starting yourself a thread for this as it'll be a lot better than sitting on top of a finished projects thread :) Step two: read heaps, then test heaps, cry in the shower, read and test some more! So it looks like the router you've got is different from the one I...
