Looks like it could be a usb issue, try checking for corruption or reformatting your microsd card. Might also be worth it to try a couple of different ones.

I dont think that the removed buttons from the controller board should really hinder the screen from working, the screen should also work without the entire board. Have you hooked up video lines between the wii and the screen? If you did, make sure they are properly connected. Also verify that...

All layers have been sanded and scanned, just have to mark the voltages and traces now. Any suggestions on where and how I should upload it?

Started work on tracking the ave traces, also found out the testpads circled in red are usb connections.

Wiring photos would be nice so we can actually diagnose this properly.

Back and front layer have now been scanned at 1200dpi(which I find to be looking alright, every trace is very recognizable) and I have begun rudimentary alignments and touch ups in gimp.
