This is my Retro Lite CM4, designed by @Dmcke5 and @StonedEdge! It's a Switch Lite style handheld powered by the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. Many thanks to my friend StonedEdge for hooking me up with a kit last fall. It took me a little while to get around to assembling the unit, but I'm happy to say it's complete and fully functional.

It's got the same specs as the Retro Lites StonedEdge and Dmcke5 have built:
  • Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4
  • Machined anodized aluminum case (aqua color)
  • 5" 800x480 IPS LCD
  • 4000mAh 3.7V LiPo
  • Stereo speakers, HDMI output, headphone jack, USB+HDMI passthrough through dock
  • Custom HUD software (battery monitoring, on-screen keyboard, controller calibration)
The anodized aluminum is simply gorgeous and feels incredible. Oh, and I replaced all the stock tact switches with C&K KSC222JLFS switches. They offer more positive tactile feedback, with a rubbery feeling—very similar to the PS Vita!

It runs Cosmic Smash like a dream with lr-flycast, so I'm a happy camper. :D

Size comparison with UltraWii. The Retro Lite is a super thin, sleek handheld. Dmcke5 did an awesome job with the MCAD! (I'm missing a couple set screws, but don't worry, the case halves are securely fastened.)

Internal pics. The custom sleeved lipo battery, Pico-EZmate connector for the battery, and ported speaker chambers are epic, not to mention the 4-layer carrier PCB StonedEdge designed. From solderability of the mezzanine connectors to SDIO crosstalk, StonedEdge overcame a lot of engineering hurdles when designing this PCB. The end result is amazing, so mad props to him!

Once again, huge thanks to @StonedEdge and @Dmcke5 for designing this sweet handheld and selling a kit to me. The ergonomics are excellent and I really enjoyed putting it together!
