Question Wii trim heats up but no composite signal

This is my second attempt at an Ashida. My last trim worked at first, but this one not so much.

I’m using U10 emulation with the PMS-lite and my voltage line resistances are good. The CPU heats up when the board is powered on.

I cut too close to the audio pre-amp area, but I don’t believe that part of the board is necessary to get my trim to boot.

I did pull off the filter cap pad where I’d normally wire composite so I’m using a via near the AVE instead. Resistance between composite and ground is ~74 ohms.

I don’t know why I’m not getting a video signal. Any troubleshooting tips welcome, a list of things to check would be great.

Thanks!

Did you cut into the pre-amp? It's hard to tell from the photo angle. If you did cut into it, removing the pre-amp would be a good step one (although it's unlikely to be the primary cause)

Alllright. I cut the pre-amp off just for safety because I did nick it a bit when I trimmed. Still no luck.
Posting my resistences. They look mostly good, but the 1.15v is a little low.

My voltages are 0.96v, 1.16v, 1.77v and 3.3v respectively. The U10 pad on the PMS is also outputting 3.3v.
Does anyone know of a secondary point to check to make sure the wii is getting that U10 signal?

I couldn't find the wii compendium by searching the forum, but I would love to look through it to see if there's anything I might've cut through below the filter caps that could cause this issue.

Those resistances look fine, 1.15v can be quite low. Lowest I've seen is 20ohms.

If you want to confirm the U10 signal you can just use your multimeter to volt check the via, but if the U10 pad on the PMS is outputting correctly then it's probably fine. You could try cleaning and resoldering all the wires, but aside from that I'm not sure what to suggest. Your trim looks good.
