Hi, how do I take out the GameCube ports when I am trimming? Is it really necessary to take it out when I do the OMGWTF trim for my 6 layer board? Thanks

You don't have to desolder the ports. You can just perform the OM6 cut on the board unless you feel that it gets in the way. Make sure you do research on trimming 6 layer boards because it's not type same as 4 layer boards.

Unless trimming just the ground plane is enough, you have to do the OM6 trim. There are no trims in-between because they would be more complicated than just cutting more off.

Right now that's the trim that's commonly used. I don't think I've seen another trim. I heard a ZN-45 case works great!
