I think I started this journey last April (2021) and the number of electronics I have fried is hopefully the sum of my AP scores tomorrow. Thank you to everyone on the BitBuilt discord server who answered my constant and probably initially stupid questions. The main goal behind this project was to create a box that would have a screen and display games that I could then play using a Wiimote. There were other objectives I was going for such as 480p, an internal sensor bar, external video out, and multiple gc ports. Unfortunately, I had to drop some of these as college is now less than two months away. Before I get to the specs, I just wanted to thank my friend Nate (he isn't on BitBuilt but rather a personal friend and a god at CAD) for designing and 3D printing the case, he really allowed my vision to become a reality and I could not have done it without him.

Specs:
7" IPS screen using 480i
2 speakers + headphone jack with auto-switching (U-AMP 2 from 4Layer with digital audio from Wii)
Full AV out (using composite out and headphone jack to audio left and right)
4 Layer Wii Motherboard trimmed (OMGWTF trim)
8.6in x 5in x 1.7in
USB-C fast charging (PMS-PD and PMS-2 from 4Layer)
Built-in sensor bar
1 functional gamecube port
128 GB of storage
4 18650 35E 8A 3500mAh lithium batteries (theoretically 5 hours of playtime)

I'm not brave enough to show the internals lmao.

I love it! Something about these kinds of portables just draws me in more than anything else! Great job on getting it all wired up, and tell Nate that case looks awesome!
