Question Where to get GC+

Looking into how to integrate a controller in my portable and it seems like a GC+ is the easiest way to go. Since the store isn't available right now, is it possible for me to get my hands on one? I have some extra knockoff gamecube controllers I was planning on cutting in half and wiring back together, but could I just wire the buttons and sticks from the controller pcb to a GC+?

hi there, i'm interested in making my own, i saw the BOM on github but I'm confused about a couple of things.

first off my understanding of the parts is
R are resistor
D are diode but the value is unclear to me
C are capacitator
i assume IC1 is a pic, is it this one ?
and is T1 this? that was also unclear

You'll probably want a surface mount version, that is for through hole
