Has anyone ever been able to use some of the smaller first party handheld screens as a built in screen for a portable? I'd like to know if anyone has any designs on how to use either a DS lite top/bottom screen or a GBA screen for the wii mobos.

If it is possible, then I might be able to make my WiiDS portable without using third party screens.

I'd appreciate links to whatever thread has already discussed this. ty fam~

Short answer is no.

It would require reverse engineering the screen and using something like an FPGA to make a custom drive board for it, which is incredibly advanced. For the most part, if it doesn't have a video input you can use, then you can't use the screen.
