Hey all, I've done my research, decided to go through with making a portable so I bought a black family edition wii (rvk-cpu-01) and began practicing the removal of the chips on an older white 6 layer wii. It went well and once I got the hang of it, I began removing the u5 u10 and u9 on the black wii. It went all good however, I sorta just tossed the new wii’s chips aside with the older one’s chips as I was holding a couple of tools to remove them.

So, my question to anyone out there with a similar wii motherboard (rvk-cpu-01), what are the names read on the u10, u9 and u5 chips?

On my white family edition rvk-cpu-01, u5 is marked TO1BB, and u9/10 are marked AYDAJ with the AJ bit underlined. Assuming the sets from both consoles aren't all marked the same, my intuition says the two different sets of chips should have two identically marked pairs and two individually marked single chips.

Even if they are marked differently, any u9 or u10 chip will do the job. They all work the same.
