Question Troubleshooting My Ashida

Hello, I'm currently building my portable Wii using the 4LAYER boards. I love the design and the idea of it but currently have a few issues in actually putting it together.

I can currently get the screen to work but it starts in AV2 and I have to change the channel over manually shorting the AUTO/SOURCE to VGA. (Effectively pressing it as a button would.) (Not game breaking, but I might as well share it here in case someone knows.)

But the main issue I am having is that the usb port from the PMS-PD (RevB) not connecting to the Wii, as you can see from the pictures supplied. Whenever I power it, the screen comes up with a Bootloader 01 error which I believe is due to a lack of power to the USB port. (I am getting somewhere between 0V9 and 1V, when I think USB needs 5V?)

Current troubleshooting I have tried is;
Using an alternative 5v power source,
Replace the UP wire from a 30 AWG to a 24AWG,
Twisting the data lines as tight as possible, with a drill,
Making the Data Lines a LOT shorter,
Also tried using the CM1 lines and the CM2 lines,

During each round of troubleshooting I have been swapping D+ and D- everytime too, just in case I have them the wrong way around.

I also have a test bench Wii for the USB, to make sure that there is no issues with the USB stick itself. I have been using this for testing the games and expected functionality that I will have, and this works perfectly fine with the USB I intend to be using with the portable.

I am unable to test the controller buttons or audio output until the USB works to boot the Wii properly, because pressing the A button during the bootloader error seems to have no effect. (However, I'm still not sure if that's a controller issue or also USB).

I'm just struggling with the last hurdle, so any and all help will be appreciated, thank you all for reading and I hope that you can help me get this project finished.

Thanks Owen.

USB should be wired only to the CM1 lines unless they're inaccessible, sometimes the second USB port just doesn't work with loaders. Also have you tried wiring the PD to your test wii to see if it's the PD being funky?

It is currently wired to CM1 but I did test both just incase (no harm trying) I actually havent tried wiring the PD to the test Wii, I will give that a try and let you know the outcome.

Just make sure if/when you do that, you power the PD from the test wii and not the PMS

I had finally got round to testing it and it's getting 5v2 so plenty of power but the usb isn't still working so I guess I will have to replace the unit then hopefully it works?
