Hello, I've found this website to be very interesting and I enjoy all the ideas and ingenuity, so I decided to post a worklog of my Ashida build to share yet another build and, of course, have the ability to ask questions and get advice from the more experienced people here.

I first saw the portable Wii's while I was building a Gameboy Zero with a raspberry pi zero, and once I saw the Ashida thread on this website, I knew I had to build one. So, here's the first steps in the process. I started out by printing the Ashida case and flashing the Nintendo Wii with RVLoader. I patched out the WiFi as recommended, but I believe I may have made an error in locking the video output to VGA. This means it'll have to have a VGA screen wired up in order for it to work (I think), which means more work but not too big a deal.

A question: where are you guys getting the extra 'Z' button? I cannibalized one Gamecube controller, but when looking at the aftermarket button packs, I haven't seen any Z buttons that come with the little metal tab/spring with it so I'm a little worried that the button work work right without it.

Thanks, I have noticed it prints very nice compared to some others I have seen online and a friend of mine told me that also.

Awesome work! I'm interested in your settings and gcode for the print. I may build the Ashida as well. Looks great.

Location
The PS2 startup town.
Portables
1ish.
I'm so glad this is available for 3D printing, since the keyboard controller this is based on is super expensive and rare.
