after many years of wandering the abyss and conversing with oriental merchants in their dialect of english, I have found only one option for using YPbPr with a 3.5" screen: the MST703 LCD driver ic supports YCbCr and YPbPr according to this datasheet. It also appears to have automatic video source and mode detection, which sounds pretty hot. But I've a few uncertainties. I am unsure where exactly the Y, Pb, and Pr pins are on the ic (the RGB pins I guess?). I am also unsure if this would work with any old driver board like this

as the datasheet leads me to believe that the input mode(s) can be fixed. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated

The MST703 is a pretty common driver for LCD displays. It CAN be programmed to support the YPbPr video input, but most of those boards are programmed to support only composite and VGA. The L7009 screen (that supports YpbPr) uses an MST703.
