I actually thought about that, but I am not familiar with designing them myself. So I scraped the idea, because it would consume too much time.

Another small update:
Case4.JPG

I designed some Gamecube-like buttons. They are 40% smaller than the orginals though. But still manageable :D. The size is similar to the DS-buttons. I printed them with a .25mm nozzle and they turned out great :)

Still way to go .

Edit: Interesting, how the nozzle diameter changes the overall quality of small prints O.O

What kind of glass are you using this time? IIRC you didn't really like the one from your previous project..
Anyways, tastiest thread on BB right now!

Thank you for that compliment :)
I will use the same 'glass' again, but this time I will use a protective layer on top of it. I was thinking about using real glass though, but it turns out to be a pain in the ass compared to the plastic one.

Edit:
Although it doesn't seem that way in the picture, the buttons fit nearly perfectly.

(Yes, this does look crappy, but remember, it's just a test print :P)
Still working on it (11pm already)

If you have anything unclear, just ask. And if you think I made a mistake somewhere, you can tell me :).
While there are still things missing, I am very happy with the progress. I will print the part of the D-Pad tomorrow, to test if everything fits together as planned.

I was thinking about printing this thing in a semi-transparent color. Maybe blue:?:. But not sure what color the buttons should be. Of course the A and B will be in green and red though :D.

Good night you awesome people! See you tomorrow (hopefully).

I think I got all the ports in place (or did I forget one? xD). It is slowly coming to an end...
What I added:
- all the necessary ports (Micro-USB for power, Power button, volume control, USB stick... did I miss something? o.O)
- air duct cover
- hole in the back for the air duct
- some roundings

Still missing:

- speakers
- mountings for the screws
- a fancy fan-cover
- probably a lot of other things I didn't think about yet...

Small update:

I tried different settings with the buttons. Personally I like them all. I think I will stick with the following:

Of course they look awful on these pictures ._.'
In real life they look much better. Nonetheless I will most likely sand them a little bit.
