Custom regs. Output caps because bentomo peer pressured me.

Forreal tho, this basically confirms the OMGWTF trim, short of actually cutting the board.

The only think holding me up now is not having a wiimote, so I can do homebrew junk.

Interestingly, in a completely different circumstance, someone has told me those exact words. And don't worry, I delivered then too.

With this current setup, I shouldn't, because I don't think 12v is connected to the rest of the board, and it's required on the preamp. But I could just as easily tap off of the alternate points and get that back without doing additional work.

The best part is it can get quite a bit smaller in each direction, with a little tweaking of course. I'll be soldering up the SD and USB later, as well as the MX(just to test that the relocation works.)

Have some additional pictures to celebrate the new age of portablizing:

Ive worked so hard and waited so long for this. Thank you for making it a reality. Cheese, Gman, Mega, Jackson, Zenloc, Shockslayer, Bentomo, JacksonS... It took everyones contributions to make this happen. Everybody deserves recognition.

All our hard work has finally paid off. A new era of portablizing is upon us.

The part I like the most is that you have only like 6 wires to get it all working, that will greatly simplify everything. My only question is how hot do those small heatsinks get... Besides that, I can't wait to do this trim myself! Good luck on this portable (though you probably don't need it :P)

You're absolutely right; in order to get the board to boot like this, all you need is custom regs, wifi, bluetooth, and U10 relocated. Granted, you technically also need SD/USB to be able to boot games(unless you're making the world's smallest VC), but that's a walk in the park compared to what's already done.

I have no idea about the actual performance of these heatsinks...because I don't have a wiimote, or homebrew...or any way to play games at all for that matter. So I can't stress test this by any means. However, I feel fairly confident that as long as I have a fan, this should be adequate. If not, I've got a lot of options, including some parts that I've stored away for this specific endeavor for years. We'll figure this out too.

For those of you following this thread who're wondering how to do all of this, fret not. Full, detailed guides are coming out very soon. I had to do all of this personally in order to verify the integrity of the information, as well as test everything myself in order to determine the entirety of what is and isn't necessary. All this testing is the only thing standing between months of research and a public release of information. Even during my work today on stream, I found an entire picture diagram I wanted to make. Rest assured, it is worth the weight.

YES YES YES!!! Congrats on being the first to cut is so small and have it bootB|.

Look forward to see everything wired up and fully working. Curious about the MX chip and if it is really needed......

Someone send him a wiimote so he can test shit out>:)

Our good friend @Shank has one already in the mail headed my way. That one wiimote is the only thing holding me back.

MX chip is definitely not required. We've pinned it out, experimented on it a ton and know everything it does, even how to wire it back on with only the neccessary pins.

We've been working diligently on completing the guide. Short of testing a few things for certainty, it's essentially done. A release is days away, if not sooner!

Did a CPU-40 board this morning and confirmed the trim works for that too. Granted we sort've already knew that, but hey! Here it is.

Wifi really, really needs short wires in order to work. Also, I found it easier to solder the wires to the module and then to the arrays.

Zenloc also mentioned at one point that keeping the WiFi wires the same length is important to prevent issues. Not sure if this helps, but I think it's worth mentioning
