I'm gonna go ahead and post my gift here now that I've received and opened it. This year my secret santa was @Bubberiffic, and he went WAY harder than he had to!

20241218_130855.jpg

He did such a nice job wrapping them too!

We've got a beautifully drawn bit of Nokotan art on a wonderful little card he made and wrote for me. We've got a Queen CD with 9 mystery songs on it, really looking forward to seeing what those are! There's a copy of Knockout Kings 2000 for the N64 which I can't wait to try out on my N64 portable! There's volume 1 of My Deer Friend Nokotan, which is every bit as unhinged of a series as I am of a person :XD: ! A custom 3d printed Neptune figure with a custom 3d printed stand, and a $10 Nintendo eShop gift card!

Here are close up shots of the Neptune figure and the stand for it:

The stand has some beautifully printed in art in it that is based off Neptune's D-Pad hair clips. Here's what those look like for reference:

The model for the stand was custom made in Blender. When I originally saw it, I immediately thought he had gotten it off The Models Resource since he did such a good job with it! I can tell he put a ton of time and effort into just this alone!

Overall, really beautiful and lovely set of gifts! Thank you so much @Bubberiffic ! These are all great gifts and I really can't thank you enough! You did NOT have to go this hard!

Package came in! The things I got from my Secret Santa were just what I wanted!! Only issue is that I still do not know who my Secret Santa was since they didn’t put their username in the letter. Anyways!

IMG_1510.jpeg

I got 4 games and 3 controllers!!

IMG_1514.jpeg

I got a Demon Throttle for Nintendo Switch, Crysis 2 for the Xbox 360, Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, and a Sealed copy of Super Mario 3D World!

IMG_1515.jpeg

But by far I think the best gift I got was an OEM GameCube controller! I have been hunting for one for months and found nothing, this was an AWESOME gift!

IMG_1516.jpeg

Another cool controller I got was a limited edition Dragon Age Xbox 360 controller! Been needing one for my console and this is perfect!

IMG_1518.jpeg

Last but not least I got a Razer Raiju Mobile game controller! Bluetooth and holds my phone for gaming on a controller on the go!

If you were my Secret Santa, I would love to know! But if you wish to stay anonymous, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, this was an amazing gift and I’m very glad I got this from you!

And he gave you the best colour too! I've wanted an emerald blue one for ages but they're really annoying to get down here >.>

Is it Christmas already? My Santa sent me some cheesy goodies, speed cube, and a version of tetris I've never seen before! Also must have gone a bit over budget with those bitcoin, but who's counting? Got a score of almost 60k on tetris, I'll be playing this one some more! Controls are surprisingly good for it's size, my hands didn't really cramp up

@RegDogg The best thing about that controller too is that not only is it already a fairly uncommon color, but it has an even more rare blue mario controller back half, so it's a franky controller :)

I wasn't sure when we should reveal ourselves so I left that out, but I was your secret santa, glad you like your gifts!

My secret santa went all out. Really cool. I couldn't find the name it was from tho. It came in an Amazon package.
That does seem rather fitting for a GroovyMusicMan.

My gift arrived today!

I got some delicious toffee and a beautiful pink candle! Is the candle homemade? The wooden wick makes me think so. Smells awesome, like rosewater.
IMG_20241221_130209.jpg

Yum, even more homebaked goodies!

IMG_20241221_130451.jpg

The last thing in the box made me absolutely giddy! A stained wood Dread Suit Samus! Was this made with a scrollsaw? It's so cool... I'm blown away!!!

It's already up on the wall above my desk! :D

Everything was home/hand made.
Me and my mom made the cookies/treats, she made the candle and I made the intarsia!

Dude I'm glad you like it!
Definitely deserved with everything you do for the community.

My secret Santa this year was @GingerOfOz!

Since I was out of town staying at a hotel for work and couldn’t wait I had my wife open them up for me via FaceTime.

First up is a 79001 motherboard and a full ps2 79001 which still had its seal in tact, these will come in handy for my next portable.

IMG_7226.jpeg

Next I got a 3d printed ? Goku figure that was hand painted, the details are amazing man great quality I love it.
IMG_7227.jpeg
IMG_7228.jpeg

Last item I opened was this amazing goku print which ginger said it was printed by his 3d printer, dude idk how you did but it’s beautiful it’s going next to all my other dragon ball items I’ve received.

Thank you so much @GingerOfOz! For all these amazing gifts I really appreciate you taking the time to hand paint that small goku.

I hope your hands didn’t cramp up while painting! Merry Christmas.

Have you ever seen that old imgur thread where the guy keeps finding stuff in his thrift store GameCube? Well, that's what opening my secret santa package felt like this year!

First up was a super nice soft-wall cooler - my wife and I had been planning on buying one of these as recently as last week!
1734815090523.png

But why is this cooler so heavy?

1734815585824.png

Inside we find a super soft blanket (my kids have already stolen this), a nice note, and another cooler! Wait, is that something in the lid of the cooler too?

The cooler(s) were packed with the most awesome goodies:

These electric salt and pepper shakers are so fancy, very excited about those! Also, that uline post-it pallet is so cute, I've been wanting one of those for ages.

In case you didn't guess who sent this yet, thank you so much @CrashBash for your generous care package!

Happy holidays everyone!

My Secret Santa this year was none other than @loopj, and man did he go all out!

First, I open the box to find the demon herself staring back at me, menacingly, as if to mock me. I'm still in for NoCareyChristmas from November this year, you won't get me this time!

PXL_20241223_202046162.jpg

All of the gifts were very elegantly wrapped. I was very impressed! I can only dream of wrapping gifts this nicely! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the wrapping since I was too excited to open everything.

Here is an overview of everything I received (I'll go more in depth about each item):

PXL_20241223_205141873.jpg

I'll go over the smaller stuff first before getting into the meat and potatoes. First off, two Nintendo candy dispensers, including the semi-mythical (to this community at least) GameCube dispenser! I've actually wanted one of these for quite a while, so it was great to finally receive one.

PXL_20241223_205506600.jpg

No candy in it, though, however the Mushroom was not the same story...

PXL_20241223_205419487.jpg

I uhh, don't think it's supposed to look like that. (I was peer pressured into eating a quarter of one. Didn't taste all that bad, although had a very gross aftertaste. 0/10 would not recommend, especially since they still make these.......)

Next up, a GuliKit Hall Effect Switch Joycon Joystick kit! This is actually perfect since I was planning to do a bunch of mods to my newly acquired Switch Lite, so I'll definitely be throwing these in!

PXL_20241223_205820938.jpg

Next up, some parts that I was missing to built a Short Stack! I don't think I'll have time to get one built up for MGC, but hopefully someday! Super excited to eventually pull off an omega for this!

PXL_20241223_205557670.jpg

This kinda blew my mind since it was the first thing I opened - A Radxa Rock 5A! Actually ridiculous that he threw this in! I'll have to come up with something to use it for! Also came with the wireless module, although no antenna and no screw to properly mount it, so I'll have to figure that out.

PXL_20241223_205930867.jpg

Nearing the conclusion - I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this, but he sent me a beta version of WavePhoenix!!! I can't believe how tiny this thing is! It's absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to try it out!

PXL_20241223_205712829.jpg

PXL_20241223_204047492.jpg

And finally, the biggest item of all, a set of PCBites and some accessories, including an oscilloscope probe and set of DMM probes!!! Absolutely wild cause these are NOT cheap! I've been wanting to pick these up for the longest time but haven't been able to justify the cost. I can't believe I have these now!

PXL_20241223_205522174.jpg

If you're not familiar, PCBites is a helping hands system where you have a magnetic base and these little vise grips that magnetically attach to the base plate and can clamp a board in place and hold it up for you. There's 4 in a set, and they are able to very securely prop a board up so you can work on it.

PXL_20241223_211323620.jpg

I put the metal plate under my work mat and it still has a very strong magnetic pull on the PCBites! Also, there are probe accessories that attach to the metal plate, and have a flexible arm that can hold the included probes in place, so you can easily take measurements with your DMM or view signals on an oscilloscope. These work SO well and are very high quality. They hold themselves in place effortlessly, and the probe tips are very sharp so you can prove the smallest of test points, all hands free!

PXL_20241223_213233057.jpg

PXL_20241223_212204985.jpg

To wrap everything up, he also included a lovely handwritten card.

PXL_20241223_202100529.jpg

Thank you SO much for everything dude. This was an incredible gift and I can't wait to use every single last bit of the amazing things you gave me. I also can't wait to hang out with you at MGC again this year! It's gonna be a blast!

I don't know who my secret Santa is, but they sent me an ips gba screen and this neat transparent Blue shell.
1000005765.jpg

When this is completed it'll be my first normal gba. I have an sp, but feel like the form factor of the original is better. I'll post again when the build is complete, but I'm waiting on a new power switch for my "for parts" gba motherboard.

Thank you to whoever sent this to me!

My secret santa was @Gman and I got some sweet custom PCBs. He knows about my custom controller obsession, but how did he also know I'd been wanting to break out the n64 this month? :rothink: Thanks Gman!
One of the boxes has something else special in it if you haven't opened it..
