I don't think they'll be back soon. Did you remove the LDO or why not use the PMS-Lite

No. You'll either need to somehow acquire a PMS2 or use a separate 1v8 regulator like a PTH

Just out of curiosity, what current would I need to output if I was going to go this route? I have some variable regulators which I should be able to dial into 1.8V, but the current limit on them is low if I remember correctly.

Its less than an amp. If your regulator can safely output 750mA it should be fine
