I am running a 4s2p Li-Ion battery for my current Wii mod, and for my voltage regulation, I am using 3 PTH0808's with 2k 91k and 33k resistors for 3.3v 1.15v and 1v. I'm afraid that since my battery is 16.8v when full it will damage the 16v 100 uF caps I have on the regulators. Is it safe to run them at this higher voltage?

Those caps will not due. Your capacitor values should be at least twice your source voltage from what I've heard.

The best I have on hand is 100 uF 25v. will that do?
For a temporary solution, yes. Replace them as soon as you get a higher rating ASAP though. If I may ask, why are you using that battery configuration? It seems pretty inefficient given the Wii running voltages.

I have components running at 12v and I don't want to use a boost converter.

just so many i am so cool
16v is also a fair amount higher than what the input voltage is rated for on the 1v and 1.15v PTH regs. Using those in this situation is probably not advisable. What is the project you're working on?

What are you running that uses 12v? If it's a screen, you can do a simple modification to make it run off 5v instead.
