Solved Question before trimming !

Hello everybody !

Quick question before I start trimming my Wii!

I've been browsing the forum quite a bit before getting started, but I've seen a lot of pictures of people using the round battery and I don't see any indication on the definitive wii triming guide about it. What do I gain/less by using it or not?

If by round battery you mean the 2032 coin battery, that is used to power the real time clock on the MX chip. If you relocate the MX chip without the battery, you'll have all the functionality of the chip, minus the correct time in games. See the following for more info on the MX chip relocation:
