So, my other PowerBoost came, which I then proceeded to short out as I connected the battery. The solder I was holding slipped and power and ground got connected. However, a different chip was busted this time, so I decided to remove the chip that was broken on the first PowerBoost and replace it with the working one from the second PowerBoost. I’m going to be honest; it wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be, probably because for the first time in my soldering experience, I had the right tools for the job, namely flux, solder wick, and a high quality soldering station. I connected everything else up, and it is finally working!
