Question ps3 frezes?

so mi internet went out so y turn on my ps3
and when y try to play a game my consoles frezes even in the boot intro
im desesperate its my childhood console what do y do?

also it has decade old thermal paste could that be the issue and almost none xsistent maintenance?

It definitely wouldn't hurt anything to replace the thermal paste. For most consoles from that generation the thermal paste is dried out by now and isn't actually accomplishing much.
