If small is your goal, you should go with the OMGWTF cut. Its like half the size, and makes troubleshooting much easier.

It basically went from all untested trims to OMGWTF because trimming less than the OMGWTF actually causes issues so it's the standard and really isn't difficult to do. :P

Oh i didn't realize this was a screenshot from February. Yea, back then we didn't have the compendium so it was all guesswork. Now that we have the compendium, the trimming guide, and portablizemii, we know exactly how everything works and where to cut.

But for its time, it was an impressive trim. Consider how far we've come:
@Aurelio hadn't cracked the WiFi module yet. WiFi still needed to be wired up for the board to boot.
PortablizeMii had not come out. The SD card and Disc drive board were still required to play games
We had no idea what was going on in the center layers of the board.
We had NO IDEA what the U9/U10 chips were, what they did, or why those "5 pin fuckers" were needed.
@cheese had not pulled off the MX chip yet and we did not know that it wasn't needed for most purposes

My only question for Nintendo is why the hell they put U9 all the way out there, even on the 01 boards they still had a decent amount of space to squeeze the board smaller .-.
