So what your saying is if I buy the GC+ board I can solder the buttons to the controller board and it would work? I'm a bit confused.
The GC+ board is basically an original GameCube controller chip. It makes it easier to relocate the controller because it has places you can solder to rather than the chip legs.

No, it isn't. It's not an original GameCube controller chip. It uses a microcontroller with a firmware I made specifically to work as a GameCube controller with some extra features
