I really want to make a Nintendo wii portable, but I have a question about a situation. I really want to download Sonic riders, zero gravity for the wii, but I have the ps2 version. Is it legal to Download the Wii version of Sonic Riders since I have the ps2 version

I'm gonna go ahead and say no, it's not legal. My reasoning has to do with licensing. When you view the credits for a game it usually says something like "Licensed to Nintendo" or whatever. It means that whatever company (Nintendo used as example) paid to license the game for their console. When you buy the game, you pay for a license to play the game on that specific console. Want to play on a different console? Buy a separate license.

Licensing is also what holds up a lot of games from having cross-platform play, if I understand it all correctly, which I definitely do not.

Also, even if you own the wii version, downloading it is still illegal I believe. It's only legal if you make the copy yourself.
