Hi! i just finished putting together my Ashida, but i am having issues. Whenever i turn the wii on, i get a blue screen, with a box saying vga in the top left. after a few secconds, the screen turns black and nothing happens. I have already tried to re solder my video lines and h/v sync. I have also swapped h and v sync to see if i had it backwards. nothing seems to be working. If anyone has any idea of what i could do to fix this, please let me know!

Did you apply the VGA patch before trimming?

Ah, I see it now. Generally people use TP47 instead of the via
yeah i actually just recently moved it to tp47 to see if that would help in any way. it didnt tho sadly. i have also tried to re wire all the vga lines with 34 gauge wire, but that didnt help either.

Just making sure, you aren't trying to power the screen with magnet wire right?

ummmm yeah i am... but it seems to be working now. it is now all working properly, except for audio, but i dont have time to mess with that tonight. the speakers dont output any sound, the pot dosnt change the volume, and if i plug in headphones the screen goes colorful.

Magnet wire may not deliver reliable power to the screen. Switching to stranded wire would be better
