New blue g-boy REV4U

Hi everibody! It's the end of summer and I would like to build a blue g-boy rev4u since 6 months.So let's start!
I already begin my g-boy and I weld some wires. (Also, I use a pms-pd 3 and I can't access to the micro sd card, I don't know why.)Another thing , the pcb of the screen is dead like the Wii,so I need to buy another one.I don't know if I need to enable the vga on rvloader or no.
Does anibody knows how weld the led and what led I should use?

Hello all! I finally install rvloader and the other things I need and,success!It boot!(Alslo,thanks to YvetalGriffin for his help)Now,the next big step is to trimm the wii.I need to do a basic OMGWTF trimm right?I'm so happy to do this g-boy and I hope it will still working after the trimm.Now,I will disassemble the wii.Also,is somebody knows what sanding papers I need?
Does eveything look good for my trimm?

Hi everybody!Today I finally do the trimm and the standing part.Now,I juste need to check m'y voltage and sée if it still boot.(Also, I accidentely remove the r1 and the r2 under the Ldo, I don't know if it still work, if somebody Can tell me if will be cool).

Hello! Sorry for the long silence and happy new year (yeah I know Inm late) but I finaly test my trimm aaannd it's just heating but I dont have any image on m'y screen.Also, is somebody have a tips for soldering the led and thé ffc connector, I'm open!

Your U10 relocation is really sketchy. Have you checked that it's recieving 3.3v and outputting 3.3v to the via properly?

I dont check this but, before the trimm, I do my relocation and it was working.I will just check my composite câble because I think I wasnnt solder the good one.

To check the U10's function, you will need a multimeter. You'll need to ensure that the 3 GND pins are all connected to GND, pin 5 is being fed 3.3v, and pin 4 is outputting between 2.6v and 3.3v.

If one of the 3 GND legs broke off, you'll have to use the U9 instead. If connection to GND or 3.3v is missing, you can fix that by just running a small wire from a nearby pad to the correct leg.

For the pin 4 I've got 3.1v and for the min 5 I've got nothing because I was trying ton solder better the pin and it's just give me nothing.I think I just broke the pas, so I will try wit the U10 émulation.

Just be sure to keep that wire short. If the U10 emulation wire is too long it will cause instability

Hello everybody, I try to wire a ws2812 led to the pms ans it doesn't work.I check all the voltage and it's look me good.Does Somebody got an idea of why it doesn't work please?

Finally got my new screen and try it buuuuuut,it's not showing something(I don't know why).I jut wire the voltage line for testing if it,I've got the voltage but the screen is not booking.
Is somebody got an idea of the problem?

New update:with the help of @CrazyGadget, I know actually I just ripped or cute a trace on my screen when I remove the header pins on the sides.So next step is to buy (another ) screen.I think I will take the old 240p screen because it looks esier for me to mod it.

This time, I just but a new driver board(and found the cheapsest on Aliexpress)and I just test it for being sûre.
Success!!It's alive!(It will be a small update of the desoldering)

I hope you have some non-conductive tape under that board so it doesn't short against the metal frame of the LCD

Oh,I just forgot to do that on the picture but I put some inside the case?Anyway,I just got a new problem with my screen.I test it yesterday and it was working when I was putting my charger(I think my batteries were not full charged),I was getting power on it and now,it's not booting anymore.I check the voltage and was insufisent.I hope that's just my batteries which are not charged.Also,can I use a 65watts charger for the pms-pd 3 or that's risky?

You can use any PD compliant charger, the PMS will only draw what it needs.

Ok thank you for your answer.After some time of thinking why it's not working, I remember I tried to move pins on my driver boards.Now they was stuck together,so I desolder them aaaaannnd, it fix nothing.I check all the voltage on my pms 2.90% seems correct but on the 5v line,I just got under 1v.I think I hope I don't need a new pls 2 because I try to charge with 15 v 65watts charger and I just see know it's too big.

Ok just check my pms 2.I've got lucky in my misfortune,this one still work and is know outputting the 5v line correctly like all the others.I think my driver board take to much voltage and die.This time,I will just Ask somebody for desolderinf the pins and the HDMI port on thé port,it will be better

65w is the maximum amount of power the charger can supply, it doesn't force the device to accept that much. Any USB-C device will only draw as much power from the PD supply as it needs, up to the maximum. Unless your charger is faulty, that wouldn't be the cause.

If your 5V line is that low, it sounds like you have a short somewhere

Ok it explain why is still working.Thanks for the answer.Just check my 5v line and the others lines and now it seems normal.Need to test my driver but I think he is dead.
