26AWG is too thin for power delivery to the Wii. You need 24 or 22AWG stranded wire for power, or at least use 2 of those 26AWG wires for each voltage and ground connection.

I have owned several of the black PCB variant and they all worked fine with progressive and interlaced VGA from the Wii.

I can't remember if H sync and V sync are flipped on the black boards too, if you're having issues I'd try that.
