If you're having so much trouble soldering to pins of the AVE, you won't be able to replace the AVE even if you have the tools to do so. Having the tools to do something definitely doesn't give you the ability to do it. Don't bother wasting a working Wii. Try a new wii, and if you break that one somehow you can try to transplant the AVE. But you should definitely be more careful and practice more and use lower temps because I've been seeing you consistently damaging parts or having things not work.frig

would it be too difficult to replace the AVE by hand, provided that I have the tools to do so? could I bend up the h and v pins or are they connected to anything onboard?
